Solea Dentistry

Laser Dentistry

Your comfort is our priority!

Imagine getting a filling without any injections!

Solea is the first FDA cleared dental CO2 laser that can be used on both hard and soft tissue procedures.  Solea produces a unique wavelength guided by sophisticated computers to deliver virtually painless dental procedures. Solea is indicated for use on both teeth and gums, from simple cavities to complex surgeries. Not only is the laser virtually painless, the laser itself is also vibrationless and noiseless. The experience is so unique that you will find it hard to believe you were just at a dental appointment.

Dental lasers are FDA-approved and provide an exciting new way to ease discomfort during dental procedures.  Treatments that were previously performed with scalpels or incisions can now be completed with a laser. Less-invasive treatment means improved results and faster healing.

What are the benefits of Solea laser?

  • Most importantly it delivers an entirely new experience for patients. Imagine a dentist visit where we can offer no needles, no numbness, less chance of noisy drill, and minimizing pain.

  • Even the most fearful patients leave feeling relaxed and appreciate enhanced comfort.

  • Faster treatment: In addition to the experience typically being so much better, visits are shorter because patients may not have to spend time in the chair waiting to get numb.

  • Working without anesthesia, more work can be performed in a single appointment, which means fewer visits to the dentist, less time away from work and a busy life for adults, and less time away from school for kids.

  • One of Solea’s greatest benefits: eliminating the dread from dental visits.

  • What is Solea Laser Dentistry?
Solea is an advanced dental laser that can replace the needle & drill for many dental treatments – including routine fillings. In fact, many patients choose to skip anesthesia because they feel they don’t need it. Solea provides your entire family an option for a quick, comfortable, stress-free dental experience. Solea procedures can reduce the need or become: • Needle-free • Drill-free • Anxiety-free • Quick & comfortable
  • How does it work?
Solea uses laser technology to precisely target only the tooth structure or gums needing treatment, enabling us to perform fillings and gum surgeries quickly and safely.
  • Is the procedure really done without a needle? How?
In most cases, yes! The Solea laser uses a wavelength of light delivered in thousands of pulses per second that provides an analgesic (numbing) effect that takes away almost all sensations. Most patients don’t feel anything, while others feel a mild cold sensation or slight pressure. As a result of being able to provide reliably anesthesia-free procedures, you may be able to leave the office—without that uncomfortable, numb sensation— immediately after the procedure is complete. Although, the vast majority of dental laser procedures may be performed without any numbing, there will always be cases where you and the doctor may choose to use anesthetic.
  • What types of procedures can you perform with Solea?
It can be used for many procedures such as routine cavity fillings, removing some older fillings (depending on size) and crowns, frenectomies, canker sore therapy, second stage implant procedures and even some complex surgeries. The laser may be used on almost any procedure we perform. However, procedures such as extractions, full crown and bridge preparations, and implant placement surgeries will almost always require anesthesia. For those types of cases, we can provide multiple sedation options to improve your dental experience.
  • Is Solea more expensive?
No! We charge the same for procedures and insurance coverage is the same for procedures too, whether we use Solea or not. There are no additional fees for Solea! The purpose of the laser is to provide a better experience for our patients, not to charge more for doing it!
