What to expect during your first appointment?

We are excited that you have selected us for your first appointment. You are welcome to fill in paperwork through our patient portal to expedite your visit or come early to fill out paperwork.

​

We will review your medical history and get to know you as a person to better understand what your oral health goals are. Please bring your updated medication list. You will have designated doctor time to answer your questions.  If you would like to schedule for a doctor appointment or doctor and hygienist cleaning appointment or emergency dental appointment, please let us know what kind of appointment you are looking for.  During your complete new patient exam we do an oral cancer screening, check your gum health, and get you on the path to a healthier mouth!

When Experience Matters: Efficient Scheduling and Respectful of your Time

We understand that you are busy, and you have taken time away work or home to be here!  At Dominion Dental Spa, we work very hard to be respectful and efficient of your valuable time.  How is our office different?

We hate Ridiculous Wait Times as much as you hate them too!

  • Why should it take weeks or months to get an appointment to see your dentist? Dr. Bushong takes pride in being available for his existing patients and we have appointments this week!

  • Have you ever sat in a busy waiting room for what seemed like hours? Have you been forgotten/passed by as dozens of other patients walk by and front-desk personnel barely acknowledge your presence? Worse yet, once you got there, did they offer you inflexible regimented appointment blocks based on what their computer software and corporate parameters dictate? Not here! In our office, we genuinely look forward to meeting you and getting to know you like friends and family.  Our entire dental office team work and live here and are part of the local San Antonio community and we work hard to offer you flexible, thoughtful and efficient scheduling options.

  • Have you ever been in a temporary dental crown for several weeks or months? We understand! As technology changes, we are excited to offer patients faster and more convenient scheduling with our brand new state-of-the art in-office dental lab. This way you may get your restoration same day or many times within just a few days.  Even implant-dentistry lab time may be significantly reduced!

  • Have your teeth shifted and you considered orthodontic treatment, but wanted to know if faster and more convenient options are currently available using the latest scanning technology (with less dental appointments and overall time)?

  • Have you received whitening treatment where you barely noticed a difference or have to wait days or weeks to see results?  We offer all kinds of whitening options, (for different budgets) where you can choose to select easy fast immediate noticeable whitening results, and we help you maintain it!
