Charlene
Charlene has been in Texas thirty-one years growing up in the beautiful Hill Country just north of San Antonio.
She began her career in the dental profession over 15 years ago where she immediately fell in love the the dental field and made it her passion to learn as much as she could. Charlene started working with Dr. Bushong in 2011.
She is very outgoing and kind and makes every patient a priority and goes out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable.
Charlene is married with a teenage son and 3 Dachshunds, Scooter, Zinny and Dixie. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, floating in her pool and loving on her fur babies.

Kathy
Kathy was born at Holleman Air Force Base, and raised in New Mexico. She moved to Texas, and decided to make it her home. After many years of experience in the medical field, she decided to expand her knowledge to the dental field, where she started out hygiene assisting and then got her degree as a dental assistant.

Kathy feels lucky to be working at Dominion Dental Spa, where she can utilize her skills for our locally-owned business driven to outstanding patient care.

Daysi
Daysi was born in Peru and moved to the United States when she was seventeen years old. Initially she entered the dental field and graduated as a dental technician. After a couple years working in the dental lab, she realized that she would rather work directly with patients and became a Registered Dental Assistant. She has been an RDA for over 10 years and loves it.
​
Daysi believes all things are possible if they are accompanied with patience and love. She loves spending time with her husband and three children: Cesar, Catherine and Juan Carlos. In her free time, she is involved with family and church activities.

Melissa
Mel is a graduate of UT Health Science Center Dental Assisting in 1988 and then Dental Hygiene in 1993.
She returned to school for her Animal Care Specialist degree and then opened her own business, Cold River Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation near Fort Worth, Texas. She was the sole proprietor of this business for 20 years while also working as a traveling Hygienist. She sold this business in 2020 and moved back to her hometown of Boerne, TX.
Mel competes in equestrian events such as mounted shooting with rifle and pistol, obstacle challenges, and works on her bucket list of horseback riding all 48 states in the USA. She loves to scuba dive and also competes in agility with her Giant Schnauzer dog.

Pam
Pam was born and raised in south Texas and received her biology degree from Angelo State University and then her dental hygiene certification from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she graduated with honors.
She has over thirty years experience as a dental hygienist in general dentistry. When not in the clinic, she enjoys many different hobbies including furniture refinishing, baking, cookie decorating, and everything in between.
She is married with two grown children and is Lollie to her 2-year old grandson.

Elena
Elena was born and raised in Russia, where she completed her medical education and began her career in dentistry.
After moving to the U.S., she continued her professional development and earned her Dental Assistant Certification in Washington State, confirming her skills and knowledge to American standards.
Elena and her family relocated to San Antonio when her son began studying at UTSA,. She also has a daughter who lives with her family in Austin.
At Dominion Dental Spa, Elena feels truly blessed to bring her skills and experience to the team. She is known for her warm personality, compassion, and dedication to making every patient feel comfortable and cared for.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and spending quality time with her family.

Brenda
Brenda, a Pacific Northwest native, brings over 35 years of experience in the dental profession, including almost half of her career as an Expanded Functions Dental Hygienist. She earned Associate of Applied Science degrees in Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting from community colleges in Washington State, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Washington with a concentration in medical toxicology and epidemiology, and a Master of Public Health in Dental Public Health from A.T. Still University, with an emphasis on education. Committed to lifelong learning, Brenda recently earned her EMT-Basic certification from UT Health San Antonio, became a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor through the American Heart Association, has been an assistant professor for dental hygiene and holds Firefighter II and Wildland Fire certifications.

Brenda is passionate about dentistry, education, and serving others. She is an active member of the national, state, and local dental hygiene associations and has taught local anesthesia certification courses for dental hygienists in Washington, Georgia, and Texas. She is dedicated to preparing the next generation of dental professionals through excellence in education, emergency preparedness, and patient-centered care.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her three children and six grandchildren. She values family, lifelong learning, and giving back to her community.
